Folk Literature

Folk literature includes fairy tale stories like those you think of when you think of Disney movies: Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, Lady and the Tramp, Jack & the Beanstock.

Science Fiction

This section should include many different stories about robots, space, and other scientific based ideas.  For example, Harry Potter and Star Wars would fit in this genre.

Poetry

Who remembers Hink Pink?  There are many great poets out there – can you like just one?

Historical Fiction

This is your librarians favorite genre – tell me about the books that are related to history, but are in fact fiction.  Has any one read Lois Lowry’s Number the Stars or any Magic Treehouse books?

Non-Fiction

There are many great stories that are true.  Real life adventures about people during war times and lessons they have learned.  Anyone heard of Anne Frank’s Diary?

Mystery

Don’t be scared, just reply to this post with book reviews of all mystery books!

Realistic Fiction

These are for books that seem like they could really happen, but have no fear, they are still fiction!  Books like Junie B. Jones and Ramona and Beezus would be in this section!

Welcome

Hello Cardinals-

We are trying out something new here at the library at EHS.  I want to start a blog for Book Reviews where you, the students and staff of EHS, can leave notes about your favorite books and even books that you really didn’t care for.  All you have to do is reply to the blog below titled Book Reviews for the genre your book falls under.  For example, if you are reading an R.L. Stine book, you probably want to put that in Book Reviews – Mystery.  Also, I will post a question you can answer about different books.  Don’t forget to take some time to read other posts.  If you are looking for a book that you aren’t sure about, read your fellow students posts.  This is the best place to go!

Mrs. Radermacher :)

Question for You
