Historical Fiction

This is your librarians favorite genre – tell me about the books that are related to history, but are in fact fiction.  Has any one read Lois Lowry’s Number the Stars or any Magic Treehouse books?

Number the Stars is one of my favorite books to read aloud to my students. I love it when they are going to open the casket to see what or who is inside, and then the chapter ends. Every year my kids beg me not to stop reading. The suspense drives them crazy. They are so anxious to find out what is in it.
